Spain 123x214 World Cup: Spain defeats Germany 1 0

The 2010 World Cup will crown a first-time champion after Spain defeated Germany 1-0 today. The victory gives Spain their first ever World Cup final appearance where they will face the Netherlands, two time finalists themselves.

Carlos Puyol came flying in for a corner kick in the 73rd minute and sent a wicked header past a diving keeper. Germany threatened for a several minute stretch late in the game, but the Spanish defense, led by Gerard Pique was more than up to the task.

It’s been a quite a turnaround for the Spanish national team. Just 3 weeks ago after losing their opener to Switzerland, many questioned if yet another Spanish World Cup collapse was in the works. But now, after 5 straight wins, they look to be the favorites in Sunday’s final.

However, the Dutch are nothing to scoff at. Especially now, since they have the support of porn stars and millions of perverted Twitter followers.

What'd you think of this?
