Your Winter Olympics ski crash of the day

Everybody has bad days at work. Just last week I stunk up our entire office with a fairly massive bathroom experience. (Serves them right for giving us Indian food the day before)

And as embarrassing as that was, it pales in comparison to French skiier Marion Rolland and this mishap in the Women’s downhill yesterday.

No report on whether Marion was drunk but if I were her, that would be my excuse. I’d yell to the high heavens that I had 3 bottles of wine and topped it off with a fifth of Smirnoff that morning. That would be more acceptable than a world class athlete choking massively 3 seconds out of the gate.

And while this may be internet fodder for us, imagine the amount of time, effort, and sacrifice it took for Rolland to make it to the Olympics. When you think about it in that regard, it’s actually quite sad.
