And this is really only the Quote of the Day because I found it vaguely interesting…the quote he makes is actually extremely awful and worthless and only tangentially related to his crazy journey. Enjoy!

At a time when some people are having trouble finding one job, Daniel Seddiqui is lining up 50 — one in every state. Each job symbolizes the state’s most famous industry, and each lasts one week — just long enough for the 26-year-old to appreciate the labor and explore the region.

He’s been a park ranger in Wyoming, a corn farmer in Nebraska and a wedding coordinator in Las Vegas.

Last week, in Week 23 of his yearlong saga, he was a cheesemaker in southeast Wisconsin. He mixed ingredients, hoisted slabs of cheddar — and tasted plenty of his work.

“I would say this was as hard as logging,” he said Friday, referring to his stint as a logger in Oregon three months ago. “Everything here is done by hand so there’s a lot of heavy lifting.”

Seddiqui, who grew up in Los Altos, Calif., insists his job-hopping isn’t a gimmick. It’s a legitimate effort to travel the U.S., learning about cultures across the country and developing a respect for what other people do, he said.

[via]

Pregnant woman or terrifying sea monster?

weird news

Attention whoring

Ew.

Parenting

Pregnancy

WTF

Nadya Suleman had eight living beings exit her vagina a couple weeks back and that somehow makes her noteworthy (see her extremely self-important Web site here). TMZ found a photo of her while pregnant and it’s as horrifying as you could ever possibly imagine.

It’s easy to make an abortion joke here, so I will. Because honestly I would think at least one of those fetuses would have been aborted by accident. A sneeze would probably give them a concussion, an unfortunate side effect of having little people crammed into your uterus like Mexicans in a one-room apartment. Even getting up in the morning makes them jostle around like Michael J. Fox.

This is why I’m dreading the moment I knock a woman up whom I don’t immediately run away from after learning about it. If I wanted to f a hot air balloon, I’d cut a hole into my copy of Around the World in 80 Days and prepare for chaffing. But why would I want that? That’s an odd fetish to have. Hypothetical Me might need serious emotional counseling.

[photo via. more on crazy octuplet mom here]
