We really need to educate the folks of the UK better on who our TV stars are. First they put Audrina Patridge on the cover of their FHM, and in the same issue they have these babes labeled “The Girls of US TV”. If this is true, we do indeed suck. Good pics though! We have Kim Kardashian (ugh), Minka Kelly (yay!), Eva Amurri (yay again!), Summer Glau, Jessica Stroup, and Erin Cummings. All in all a pretty pisspoor sampling I’d say.

Something called The 3rd Annual 2010 Art of Elysium: Heaven Gala in Beverly Hills was held on Saturday night. No idea what this event is for other than one more reason for celebrities to go out and feel important, but whatever the reason, the amount of hot tuna in the place was off the charts. Included on the guest list for this shindig were (in order below) Olivia Wilde, Sophia Bush, Ali Larter, Katy Perry (and douche), Jessica Alba, Rachel Bilson, Dianna Agron, Marisa Tomei, Camilla Belle (wearing WTF)Molly Sims, Kate Bosworth, Jessica Szohr, Amy Smart, Jaime King, Brittany Snow, Amber Heard, Odette Yustman, Emilie de Ravin, and Minka Kelly. And okay, so it wasn’t ALL of the world’s hottest women, but this was a gathering of epic proportions, you have to admit.

Welcome to the 2009 edition of our Sexiest Woman in the World event! As I stated last year, there are many sites and magazines that do this and in most cases they get it wrong (see Lohan, Lindsay; Spears, Britney; and Mills, Heather). Last year you, my awesome readers, voted Kate Beckinsale as the 2008 Sexiest Female on the Planet and I couldn’t have been more pleased with your taste. Let’s try not to blow it this year, okay?

Here’s how it’s going down. I’ve tweaked things a bit this year. Last year we had 64 babes going head-to-head til we got down to the finals. This year we’ll have 100 babes in 10 groups of 10 with the final 10 being divided into two groups of five, then the winners of those two groups will go boob-to-boob to determine our champeen for 2009.

I guess saying that pictures of Minka Kelly is kind of blasphemy, isn’t it? Because is it really possible for to NOT be sexy? I think not.

I tend to think that girls at the gym are kind of gross. In theory it’s hot when a girl gets all sweaty and works to get in good shape but in reality it basically just means that a girl who’s regularly quite cute has morphed into some sort of soggy swamp monster. I’ve gone to the gym with girlfriends and, after seeing them all redfaced and wet, I kind of want to just push them down the Stairmaster so they continue to fall and fall and fall.

Yet somehow, Minka Kelly completely busts apart all of my previous conceptions of how I’d prefer not see a cute woman at the gym as she wears her little spandex and seems to be doing actual workouts even with someone taking photos of her. It’s pretty much safe to say that she’d be cute doing anything one might perceive as unattractive, including but not limited to plunging a toilet, doing taxes, or even committing mass ethnic cleansing. *swoon

How do I know it was the sexiest dress of the night? Because I watched some of that stupid-ass suckfest, hoping to see some hot T&A and damn near every piece of ass was in some covered up, fancy-schmancy dress that didn’t show crap, that’s how…
