A second round of ‘Mortal Kombat: Legacy’ is on the way
Mortal Kombat: Legacy, undeniably the most successful official video game to live action web series of all time, is coming back with a second season.
As producer/writer Kevin Tancharoen explains, round two will have more of what everyone wants: fighting. Now that all the set-up is out the way, we can concentrate on the Mortal Kombat tournament itself. Sounds good to me.
Though it’s odd that in the rundown of characters yet to come, we get Ermac, and not Cyrax or Sektor, which were in season one (plus I’m a big fan of both characters). Were their special effects too much to deal with after-all?
The lack of Noob Saibot is also a bummer. But the biggest question is how the web series will fit, if it does at all, side-by-side that new, crappy sounding live action movie that’s in production. Which Tancharoen is also helming.
