E3 2012: What everyone else had to show, part 2

Matt Hawkins Contributing Writer, Video Games

Once again, E3 wraps up today. Earlier today I began passing along the best of the rest, and because embedding 20 YouTube vids all at once will cause almost any computer to chug, here’s everything else.

Two positives from the constantly ridiculed MS presentation (and for good reason) were the gameplay demonstrations for two games. So here’s a closer look at Resident Evil 6, whose plot looks crazy complicated and convoluted, even for Resident Evil

… And another dose of the upcoming Tomb Raider reboot, which might actually work this time…

Some might recall hearing a while back that the creator of Mega Man flew the coup at Capcom to purse other interests. Like the following, Soul Sacrifice for the Vita…

I’ve mentioned Dead or Alive 5 a few times already, and it keeps looking better and better. Though the addition of Virtua Fighter characters certainly helps…

Remember the old PS2/Xbox/GameCube series True Crime? Part three never happened due to part due sucking so badly. But the cancelled game’s blueprints have been dug up for Sleeping Dog. Looks somewhat interesting, albeit somewhat last gen as well…

Might seem strange to some to include the following, but I am one of the biggest Persona fans around, and Persona 4 Golden is the main reason why I got a Vita in the first place…

… Elevator pitch: it’s basically the Scooby gang, but in rural Japan, and they have to fight demons in another dimension by crawling into their TV sets on midnight (when the weather agrees). Oh, did I mention that you get to date a bunch of cute girls who wear glasses? It helps them see demons, by the way.

And last but not least is Transformers: Fall of Cybertron

… Other than the annoying trailer music, and questions (as well as way too bulky looking) character designs, the game doesn’t look half-bad! It’s also yet another game that I got a first look at before E3, and managed to make this rather jagged Transformers fan actually care!

Will discuss more later, including the reason why the Dinobots are in the game, despite the events pre-dating their arrival on Earth (it actually makes sense, sort of).

What'd you think of this?
