Bar10der has a stupid name but a great design

Yeah, yeah, yeah, it’s got ten tools in it, so you punned on “bartender.” Fire your marketing guy. Preferably out of a cannon into shark-infested waters.

Once you get past the ridiculous name, though, you find this to be an insanely useful kitchen gadget.

The Bar10der (urgh) combines all the tools you need to make drinks in one Swiss Army style package. It has a muddler, two knives, reamer, jigger, zester, stirrer, strainer and, of course, a corkscrew and bottle opener.

Even if you don’t make cocktails on a regular basis, it’s still incredibly handy to have around. It can sub in for any of a number of kitchen gadgets around the house and if nothing else, it’ll mean you can get rid of all the bar toys you’ve accumulated. Well, except your shaker, but you should really be using a stainless steel cup and pint glass for that anyway.

It’s even dishwasher safe, so you don’t have to worry about scrubbing it. I admit I’m worried about what the dishwasher might do to the internal mechanism over time, but for $50, this is perfect for cocktail fans in small apartments or those who want to take their booze camping.
