Here we go again: Five million Android phones hacked by malware
Heard of “Android.Counterclank”? You will soon.
The Android Marketplace is no stranger to malware, but fortunately, Counterclank is more annoying and privacy violating than out to destroy your phone. It copies your personal information, modifies your browser’s homepage, and pushes unwanted ads onto your phone.
Removal instructions aren’t up yet, but in the meantime, here’s a list of the infected applications. Remember, don’t download an app you don’t trust, and carefully read the permissions before you authorize any downloads.
Counter Elite Force
Counter Strike Ground Force
CounterStrike Hit Enemy
Heart Live Wallpaper
Hit Counter Terrorist
Stripper Touch girl
Balloon Game
Deal & Be Millionaire
Wild Man
Pretty women lingerie puzzle
Sexy Girls Photo Game
Sexy Girls Puzzle
Sexy Women Puzzle
In other words, yeah, it’s a whole bunch of cheap, crappy knock-offs.
Remember, people, you don’t need to download porn! There’s plenty already on the Internet!
