I Want: A Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport
So yesterday I was going on and on about how lame most cars look these days and showed you a car that I thought was more in line with what we were told cars were going to look like when we grew up. Well, here’s another one (yet again by Bugatti): The Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport, the world’s fastest convertible…
The roadster version of this timeless masterpiece pairs unparalleled performance with pure top-down driving ecstasy. Its monstrous engine features 16 cylinders, a combined capacity of eight liters, four valves per cylinder and four turbo units, bringing a total of 1001 horsepower. The seven-gear, twin-clutch gear box provides seamless shifting and acceleration. Reaching its top speed around 253 MPH requires the owner to use a separate top- speed activation key and keep the top up. With the top down, the Grand Sport can reach speeds up to 223 MPH.
That’s right, with the top down it can reach speeds up to 223 MPH, thus making you feel what it’s like to drive an IndyCar at top speed. Although it might be cheaper to just buy an IndyCar.
