IBM supercomp Watson might be smart, but he sucks at listening

As we mentioned yesterday, IBM supercomputer Watson appeared on Jeopardy. And he whipped some serious human ass (and we have a vid mashup at the bottom).
He’s sitting at like $5,000 compared to $2,000 for Ken Jennings and and Brad Rutter, and there’s no logic behind thinking he’ll slow down. Unless you think a computer is susceptible to do something stupid like getting really wasted on Rumplemints the night before the second episode and suddenly forgetting everything about European history.
That’s the very reason, of course, why we humans ultimately win in life, but won’t be able to stop our new robot overlords from conquering us. Well, that and the fact that we can actually LISTEN and hear wrong answers and then not repeat those wrong answers like a stupid, idiot robot.
