La Firme finally makes a folding chair with some class
Have a small place, but need chairs for all the people you invite over? Until now, your options were metal folding chairs that made you look like you stole them from a church, or canvas camp chairs that made you look like a redneck. Oh, and they were difficult to store, to boot. Fortunately, La Firme understands your pain, and has conceived of a folding chair that doesn’t make you look like a tool.
The inspiration was from “flat pack” furniture. Canadian designer Felix Guyon wanted something that could be stored in public and not look like total crap, so he built the chair out of wood and designed it to fold to a one-inch thick plank. He painted it to look like an old French shipping label, but you can actually get anything from a painting to a corporate logo put on it.
The best part? It’s light enough to just hang on the wall with a nail. So, you can give your apartment a touch of class and keep actual space free for stuff you want to store.
How much will it cost you? You’ll have to call La Firme for a quote, but it’s Canadian, so in real money it’s probably five bucks.
