The Nike+ GPS Sportwatch looks pretty fantastic
Nike’s got some pretty solid gear when it comes to running. You may have heard of their shoes.
You may have also heard about Nike+, which matches shoes to iPods, in a pretty fantastic way. What you might not have heard of, but you soon will (like, now, actually) is the Nike+ GPS Sportswatch.
But it’s here, and it seems pretty well designed to supplant the regular heartrate monitors that many folks use while training.
That’s because it functions as an actual watch, it — as you can see — “reminds you to run” via a “personal coach” feature, it monitors your heartrate, and it calculates your pace, among the many things that most sports watches will do.
But best of all, it lets you map out your routes, plan future routes and the like online. That, more than anything, likely makes it a worthwhile purchase. If, of course, you like to run. If not, you can probably just use it to try and pull of the “hipster athlete” thing fairly well.
