Sat Chair hides a satellite dish in plain sight
If you live in a place that bans satellite dishes on the outside, yet also doesn’t have cable (and believe it or not, they do exist), you can be pretty shafted when it comes to TV and Internet access. And, while you can’t surreptitiously install cable in your building, you can now quietly install a satellite dish. At least if you have a patio.
The SatPlus Sat Chair simply takes a small satellite dish and redesigns it to look like a chair, complete with cushion. It works exactly like a 60mm satellite dish (that would be the back rest) and the other necessary technology is hidden in the frame.
And before you ask: yes, it’s a fully functional chair. It’s also light and portable, making it ideal for, say, college students who want satellite, but are going to be moving at least once a year for four straight years.
What’s neat about this is how clever it is, in the end. This is basically a satellite dish you can pick up, move around, and adjust the way you want it without having to install servo motors or other expensive stuff.
If you want one, they’re exclusively European for now, and will run you about $400, but an American version is supposedly in the works.
