wificuffs 214x214 WiFi cufflinks are neat, stylish, nerdyWe have a certain affection here at Guyism for gadgets that keep you looking stylish while still actually fulfilling a function. First, and most importantly, they give you a moment to show off like you’re James Bond. Secondly, they reduce the amount of crap you’ve got to lug around in your pockets and on your keychain.

Still, we’re torn on these cufflinks. Not because they’re neat, because they are. We’re just not sure who, precisely, will need them.

The cufflinks hide two USB dongles. The first one is fairly straightforward flash drive: plug it in, fill it with data, you know the drill. The second is the more impressive one: it’s a tiny WiFi hotspot that can be plugged into a computer and syncs with anything that gives off a WiFi signal, like, say, your smartphone.

Useful? Absolutely. Stylish? Well, classic, certainly. Worth the $300 you’ll pay to own a pair? You must either be a secret agent or an incredibly fashion-conscious IT guy. Still, for that moment when somebody says “Damn it, I need a WiFi signal”, and you just casually smirk and yank out a dongle from your cuff link might be worth every penny.
