You too can own a bulletproof briefcase
Everybody has documents they need to keep an eye from work, or otherwise need to protect. So, if you’re into exercise and being ridiculously over the top, Tumi has the briefcase for you.

Namely, the Tegra-Lite Bulletproof Attache, from luggage and case maker Tumi. And “bulletproof” is not an idle boast or marketing speak. This thing really can take a bullet and is in fact designed to.
The case is made out of 65 layers of polypropylene thermoplastic composite, instead of Kevlar (for once), and is rated to take a round from a .38 pistol. So it’s not exactly sniper protection, since they’ll probably be going after you with a .50 caliber round, but hey, some jerk with a pistol, you’re good unless he brings a .45 or a Desert Eagle.
It also has a false bottom, a ring to attach handcuffs to, and an iPad pocket, betraying the somewhat “rich dude’s toy” nature of this whole enterprise. Mind you, this kind of bulletproof does not come light: The case alone weighs in at twelve pounds.
The price? $6000. And Tumi is only making 28 of them, mostly as a marketing stunt. But hey, if you actually need this thing, you probably have $6000 to burn on accessories.
