Craving a Vita, but don’t want to actually buy one? Enjoy some Taco Bell first
Taco Bell is launching a new promo that will offer customers the chance to win Sony’s upcoming handheld, Vita, provided that they don’t have a heart attack in the process.
Actually, according to The PlayStation Blog, there’s three methods to win. First we have the “Unlock The Box” initiative…
Basically, blow $5 on their box full o’ tacos (which will no doubt be more like $7 or $8 for us New Yorkers, sadly) to receive a code that can be redeemed online for an instance chance to “unlock” a Vita. The box includes a regular Crunchy Taco, Cheesy Gordita Crunch, and Burrito Supreme, plus medium fountain drink (since this promotion is aimed at gamers, expect to see Mountain Dew being highlighted).
To be honest, I’m sad that one of the wackier confectioneries wasn’t included, like that one taco that’s in a burrito, that’s in another taco, encased in another burrito. And which has either Cheetos or Frost Flakes mixed with the meat, I forget which one.
Then you have the brand new Taco Bell smart phone app that’s some kind of augmented reality fighting game, in which you duke it out with your pals, in hopes of getting a Vita. And the third option has you submitting a video, to explain what you’re willing to do to get your grubby, and cheap ass, mitts on the system.
That last option is where the real comedy comes into play, because somewhere, somehow, a finger is lost in the process of being the winner. Well, I find such a thought funny at least. Anyway, the promotion runs between January 26th through March 11, with a winner being chosen every 15 minutes, supposedly.
