Nintendo the latest to be hacked/Sony still not in the clear

Remember the mess that Sony found themselves in all of last month? Of course you do! Well, the same could happen to Nintendo as well… maybe.

This past weekend, LulzSec, the group of hackers responsible for the recent flurry of Sony websites… not the big one, but all the smaller ones afterwards… decided to go after Nintendo. What did they get? Nothing actually.

You know how annoying it is to log into your personal info each and every time you want to purchase anything from the Wii or DSi shop channel? Well, I guess the egg is on our faces, because that might be a major reason why everyone’s info is safe, since Nintendo doesn’t hold onto such info. Hmmm…

So basically, nothing to see here folks. Meanwhile, all seems finally fine over at Sony-land. I’m currently downloading the second of my Welcome Back free games, and am ready to go on with the PlayStation Network like nothing happened (hey, I got my Arcana Heart 3, so I’m finally happy).

Though according to at least one security expert, expect further headaches, because Sony’s been rebuilding with the wrong folks, who are not fully aware of what they’re dealing with, and furthermore, lack the know-how to prepare/deal with the next attack.

I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if someone didn’t try something on the eve of their big E3 press conference. Since the whole point of these attacks is to embarrass Sony, I can’t think of a more opportune time.
