VIDEO: Some guy rambles on for 6 minutes to ask Nintendo why they won’t take his money

I hate to sound like a jerk, cuz I bet the dude is like super nice and all, but whenever anyone takes that tone, it sends douchechills down my spine, sorry. Must be the frequency he’s at or something.
Anyhow, for those who don’t know the full story (or simply couldn’t watch the whole thing), there was recently an initiative to bring three RPGs from Japan to America. They got lots of buzz and things seemed hopeful, till Nintendo flat out said no dice.
And you know what? It sucks and it’s retarded. Considering that their new system isn’t due for about a year and they only have like four new games in the wings, it makes not a lick of sense. Nintendo has the craziest, most dedicated legion of fans out there, pretty much willing to buy anything that’s put in front of them. Despite the fact that the games in question are a fairly niche oriented market, again, people will be willing to buy whatever if there’s no other choices available, and it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to realize that active Wii users are themselves a niche audience.
But also guess what: it’s Nintendo being Nintendo again. They like making money, but only on their own terms, as they’ve demonstrated time and time again. To the point where bullheaded-ness has cost them much faith from their audience and ensuing market share. They’re going to do whatever the hell they want, and that has almost never included listening to their fan base. Totally sucks, but that’s just the way it’s been and will continue to be for the time being.
I guess I’m also annoyed by the ever increasing dwindling fan base also means that the chances of a fellow Nintendo fan being just as insane keeps on going.
