As evidenced by the replica weaponry he created. Some of which are actually “lethal” according to the guards who apprehended them.

It goes without saying that there’s not much to do if you’re in prison, serving time. Possible ways to help pass the time away might include reading books, watching television, working in the gym… playing video games, and putting stuff together with matches.

And the later two were the time killer of choice for one British prisoner, and the end result (justifiably) freaked prison officials out. Behold his handiwork, via Kotaku

prisonblades Someone in prison clearly enjoyed Final Fantasy

Each is made from thousands of matches, all glued together, and then sharpened. “It must have taken months. The knives were lethal” said one official at the Monmouthshire, Wales prison. That gunblade you see above actually works to a certain extent, since it features “a fully revolving barrel.”

Furthermore, the official claimed that it “blended fantasy with deadly functionality”, which further demonstrated that they had no clue what they were molded after. But any seasoned gamer instantly knows that the aforementioned arm is from Final Fantasy 8.

And how the one immediately to the right is a miniature version of Cloud’s big ass sword from Final Fantasy 7. Sorry, can’t seem to pinpoint the others, since I’m not a big JRPG dude… I could swear the second one in is from Monster Hunter But anyhow, bonus points on the fab paint jobs!
