Matt Hawkins His name his Rain and he fights with the might force of water. Trust me, it’s not as bad as it sounds.
But, I dunno, there’s something kinda peculiar about the dude. Maybe it’s just me…
… Squirting water in some dude’s face is going to be the hit at parties and bane of serious online players, I can just feel it.
Some background info: he was originally named after the Prince song, Purple Rain. Hence the color of his duds. No joke. He wasn’t even supposed to be a real character, just a joke among programmers, but eventually he was made a real deal.
His entire bio can be found here, but other than how he’s actually a prince, it’s largely boring and nonsensical, unless you’re a hardcore MK fan (sorry, but I sorta stopped paying attention to stuff after Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3).
Anyhow, he seems cool nonetheless, and not too much like the other ninjas, which is a definite bonus. Is available for download next week! And speaking of… that’s when San Diego Comic Con goes down, and when Mortal Kombat: Legacy is supposed to resume! Can’t wait. Till then, another random MK clip, a blast from the past, from another trade event back, E3 to be exact…
