VIDEO: Is ‘GOATS vs NAZIS’ for real? It might be, if you chip in
Someone out there has a dream, to create a NES game in which you play a goat that eats a Nazi rifleman that then shoots bullets. Isn’t that just beautiful?
Here’s yet another video game related Kickstarter that deserves everyone’s attention. The name of the game, once again is GOATS vs NAZIS…
The creation of Jim Welch, some dude from Texas who currently lives in Seattle, he wants to make the idea of a lifetime a very real thing. But he needs help in the form of financial assistance. And how much will it cost to develop a faux-NES game? $14,000 apparently.
“$14,000???, That’s alot of bread!” Welch willing admits, but he details where that money is going towards exactly, and emphasizes that this game will be given out free, so it’s not like he’ll be able to reap rewards after the fact. Other than the warm and fuzzy feeling that game will invariably produce.
Which also means that actual NES cartridges are not going to be the end product, just a rom that will work in everyone’s NES emulators. Though he doesn’t dismiss the possibility of physical carts later down the road. Anyhow, as little as $5 will secure your copy, 10 days before the public release!
Indie cred rare rarely comes so cheap, I’ll tell you that.
