VIDEO: It’s a bunch of folks, roaming the streets of NYC, dressed up as ‘Mortal Kombat’ characters

They’re either having a grand old time, spreading some cheer around the Big Apple, or annoying the piss out of everyone. Depends entirely on your point of view and threshold of the Mortal Kombat theme.

I’m guessing the following was shot earlier this weekend, in which some folks were celebrating Halloween, and others were not. Never before have I ever wished I was in Times Square on a Saturday night (if ever), since I would have loved to have run into these dudes.

Also, kudos for a “flash mob” that doesn’t send douche chills down my spine, or simply a video featuring one that doesn’t have a song by OK Go as the soundtrack…

Love the guy as Scorpion of course, as well as Liu Kang (ESPECIALLY the 7:20 mark), though I also dig Sub Zero whenever he’s present, who’s just “there”. Then you have Smoke, and his constant need to pretend that bananas are his penis.

Though as much as I think the dudes are a riot, it would have been nice to see someone try to take a swing at them. At the very least it prove how rock-solid the MK theme is. Even after almost eight minutes, it doesn’t get old!

What'd you think of this?
