VIDEO: Master Chief is sort of a douche
Matt Hawkins Unfortunately, the legacy of almost every great hero is built upon the little people who get pushed around and treated like crap while on the way up. And things are no different in the world of Halo.
The following is actually one of Freddie Wong’s best; it touches upon all the things that makes Master Chief’s tale of ascension kinda messed up, including the small stuff. Like him constantly pointing his firearm at colleagues like its no big deal, and just taking some other soldier’s fully loaded weapon in exchange for some depleted pean gun. As well as needless instances of “friendly fire”…
Bonus vid time: that Master Chief IRL looked quite nice, right? I know Wong has quite the resources, hence why his clips look so professional (I’m still dying to know where his budget comes from), but I’ve other examples that look just as good, cobbled together by everyday dorks at anime conventions. Hence why the following is particularly sad.
Remember my mention of the dude who got dumped and then blew the money he got back from the engagement ring on Halo armor, which also looked like total crap? Well, here’s footage of the guy, buying Halo Anniversary, while donning the armor. Again, note how ghetto it looks, especially in comparison to what was featured above…
