Even if you think it’s the most overrated game of the year, it’s hard to deny that Dead Island can be immensely entertaining regardless.

First, and as it turns out, Dead Island isn’t THAT bad after-all. There’s actually a good deal of subtlety in spots, like the much-maligned combat. As Headshot, one of the numerous shows on Machinama points out, the game has something called analog combat that many might have missed…

Still, the combat’s still worth plenty of laughs, especially when one is a fan of anime. Fist of the Northstar to be exact…

But there’s still no denying; the physics in the game totally blows at times…
