VIDEO: Oniken is NES hard, but also NES awesome
Matt Hawkins Don’t you just wish that they still made games for the old school Nintendo? Well, actually, they still sorta do!
Granted, it’s not for the Nintendo Entertainment System, but for the PC. But much like the aforementioned Retro City Rampage, it sure as heck would blend in quite nicely…
The game has been in development for a while, but it’s coming along nicely, and most importantly, you can still give the game thus far a spin.
As a fan of Strider, and especially 8-bit sunsets (anyone remember Rygar, anyone, anyone?), I definitely approve. BTW, another great game that does the retro thing, is Dark Void Zero, the 8-bit version of the console game (and also happens to be much better btw)…
… If you have a DSi/DSi XL/3DS, it’s an absolute must download.
