VIDEO: ‘Serious Sam 3′ is finally here

Time to add yet another game to that wish-list: the one true successor to Duke Nukem‘s throne has arrived at long last.

I’ve mentioned Sam a few times already, from it’s genuinely hilarious advertising campaign, to it’s innovative use of mini games crafted by indie developers to get everyone in the mood. But now it’s time for the main course…

The funny thing is, I’m one of the few, maybe the only person left to make the comparison with Duke since that war has long been since called over. And we all know who the winner is, to the point that it’s no longer special..

Though just to be totally clear, what does Serious Sam 3 have that Duke Nukem Forever doesn’t? Well, modern looking gameplay, and graphics that actually holds up to 2011 standards, interesting looking enemies… hell EVERYTHING looks amazing, and actually fun to play!

Though back to visuals, I will admit that the female companion looks just as plastic-y as the ladies of DNF, but it’s not a deal killer. Anyway, the game is available right this second on Steam; PS3 & Xbox 360 versions have been promised, but I have no idea if copies have arrived in brick and mortar shops just yet. I get the feeling no, or not quite yet.
