Matt Hawkins Remember me saying that Microsoft’s new Forza 4 commercial, narrated by Jeremy Clarkson, was the new gold standard when it comes to gaming ads? Well along comes Sony with their latest, may also choke you up a tad bit as well.
Okay, maybe not, but it’s pretty damn awesome…
Gotta love the response from the gaming press; Sony had been teasing something for a couple of days now, and assumption was a new game announcement of some kind. Instead we get the above, with sites like Destructoid and others claiming it to be “disappointing… yet awesome”.
At least it’s not as bad as assorted big name Apple blogs who were wondering out loud why users were all cranky from yesterday’s iPhone 4S reveal, not realizing that they’re the ones who overclock the hype machine up to such absurd levels (and for cheap hits). Oh well… once again, great ad!
