VIDEO: That impressive looking ‘Left 4 Dead’ fan flick defies descriptions and expectations

Last week I posted a teaser for some fan-produced shot film that’s based upon Left 4 Dead which looked slick as hell. Well, the entire thing was finally posted this past weekend, and it’s… quite something…

Yeah, you know who definitely came completely out of nowhere, along with his pals.

My reaction initially was not good. At first I was blown away by an effort that not only renders every previous attempt by Hollywood to produce video game cinema rather anemic, but is easily up their with their normal offerings, period (and to a certain degree is actually kinda superior).

But as it turned out, it was all a ruse, for the sake of some lols. But then it hit me: it’s only a movie… a video game movie. Even with the goofy ending, it’s all expertly executed and better than what (though I still take issue with the needlessly use internet slang, even if it’s on screen for less than half a frame).

Me thinks that we’ll be seeing more of director, Adrian Picardi, and the rest of his crew at Northern Five from this point forward. This is the type of stuff that gets you deals.
