VIDEO: The first episode of ‘Dragon Age: Redemption’ is finally live
A must watch for either Dragon Age or Felicia Day fans. Preferably both.
Unfortunately I don’t qualify for the former. As for the latter, I’m actually unfamiliar with Day’s body of work, aside from her brief stint in Buffy. I know she promotes herself off as sexy nerd chick, but unlike some of the porn stars that have been popping up as of late, she at least appears to be quite genuine. Anyhow, here’s the very installment of her new live-action Dragon Age web series…
I dunno. Kinda meh, isn’t it? Again, maybe it would help if I was a series of the show. Basically, don’t expect anywhere near the same amount of post-episode commentary that accompanied each installment of the live-action Mortal Kombat thing on YouTube.
Basically, was expecting… more. Especially given the pedigree of the folks involved. In the end, it just seems like a fan version of an episode of Xena: Warrior Princess. Albeit a good one, but still, not too far from that league.
Also doesn’t help that I’m not into wizards and warriors and junk like that. I sorta hate it whenever folks just casually lob around some term that only makes sense within the context in that world, and is supposed to appear super casual, but the delivery betrays it (I don’t want to call Day a bad actress, but…). Worse is when its some, again, goofy D&D term.
And while I’m bitching, I just gotta say that her elf ears are just too big and goofy looking. They’re a total distraction. Why can’t they big small and pointy? Elf ears can be cute! Oh well, it hasn’t made me an instant Dragon Age fanboy, but I guess I’ll check out episode two when it hits.
BTW, the electronic version of her, in the form of DLC for Dragon Age 2, is finally out this week as well.
