VIDEO: The latest ‘Spec Ops’ game appears to combine ‘Modern Warfare’ with… ‘Lord of the Rings’?

It’s supposed to be Dubai, but you’ll swear it looks more like Mordor.

Hey, remember Spec Ops? It was doing the whole realistic military simulations before Battlefield and Call of Duty aped its shtick. But for whatever reason, it just never caught on like those two.

So time to make a comeback, though the stakes being as high as they are, something new has to be added to the formula. Just another comrades in arms deal just won’t fly in this day and age. But if it was a fellowship, maybe…

More than anything else, I love all the things that is being used as evidence of man’s avarice. In no particular order: beauty pageants, surfing, burning crosses, what appears to be rats eating some kind of meat, suicide, and monster trucks? Definitely the main reason why society is going down the crapper, yup.
