VIDEO: This week in needless, wanton destruction of video game hardware

If there’s one thing boys love more than playing with their toys, it’s destroying them.

First, witness someone unbox a 3DS and then immediately put it in a microwave…

YouTube user “dOvetastic” has been destroying all manner of items in a similar fashion; Etch-a-Sketches, iPads, even beer. The dude and his activities have developed quite the nasty reputation, so instead of posting the clip yesterday, which was when it began to circulate, I figured it might be best to wait to see what hilarity might ensue in the comments section.

Unfortunately, the one halfway decent comment (at least at this point) turns out to be:

“im being honest here,I want you to microwave feces,. i just wonder if the shit will blow up, catch fire or just dry out”

Oh well. As for the rest, it’s the usual “OMG, what a waste of $250 you retard” sentiments, and either Nintendo fanboys crying a river or Nintendo haters cheering the man on. Basically, the usual.

As also noted at the end of the clip, the remains of the fried 3DS are available for purchase on eBay. As of this writing, it’s still available for just $999!

Next we have “FPSRussia”, a Russian fellow (who resides somewhere in the United States, where there’s a lot of wooden areas, you’ll see) that was so outraged by this 5th Xbox 360 red-ringing that he decided to dispense with it via all manners of firearms…

And as he mentioned in the video, he once destroyed a copy of Modern Warfare. Bonus video time…
