VIDEO: Time for Deus Ex: Human Evolution wacky video fun times

The hottest game going today has been accused of everything, from being racist to promoting violence against the elderly, promoting violence against landlords, even impromptu dancing.

First off, have you played the game and met Letitia yet? Some feel that she’s kinda on the racist side. For those who haven’t, see for yourself…

As Time astutely noted, she’s supposed to be the future’s very own Huggy Bear. Which to be honest, could have been something interesting if actually handled well.

But crap voice acting, stilted animation, even bad voice syncing ruins the entire effect. To the point that, something that shouldn’t be racist (and certainly wasn’t intended to be) comes off as such.

Moving on, one also gets the impression from the game that pushing old ladies around is okay as well. Throwing a fridge at them to be more exact…

Then you have him one of the poorer examples of tenant/landlord relations ever…

But ultimately, the game is all about having a good time. And nothing emphasizes that more than doing the Safety Dance at inappropriate moments…
