VIDEO: Tommy Wiseua shooting virtual deer, Sonic acting like a Mafioso don, & a new ‘Resident Evil’ web series
As one web series loses its stride, another keeps on trucking, and a third is on the horizon.
Well, it was inevitable: the Tommy Wi-Show is running out of steam, or so it would seem. The updates have become less timely, and the most recent episode is not that funny. Perhaps it’s too early to make the call, but it might be time to put the thing to pasture.
Here we have episode 7, in which Tommy plays Cabela’s Dangerous Hunts 2011. The real issue is here how Tommy has relatively little problems playing a light gun game. Not that I wanted yet another five solid minutes of him walking around in circles, while looking up, but still.
Tommy at least is still entertaining, with the stream of consciousness jibber-jabber like usual. Unfortunately, his alien cohort, who has been mighty amusing in the past, is mostly annoying here. Again, what’s one to do when the star is halfway decent at video games?
Meanwhile, another Machinima web series, Sonic For Hire, just kickstarted its latest run. Some might recall that I’m a fairly big fan, and while the first episode of season three isn’t mind-blowing like previous installments, it’s not horrible either…
Though for those not keeping track, it might be worth seeing how season two rapped up. Again, totally love how the Dominique Wilkins poster gag was kept up…
Finally, there’s a brand new web series coming up, based upon Resident Evil. Unlike the ones for Mortal Kombat or Dragon Age, this one is not officially sanctioned, but it still looks pretty tight…
