VIDEO: Wait… Wesley Snipes has a video game?
Matt Hawkins Yes, the actor best known for those Blade movies, and also for being sent to jail for not paying his taxes, has a new iOS game on the way.
It’s called Julius Styles: The International… the international what? Who knows. Anyway, here’s the teaser trailer…
Umm, what? According to a press release, Snipes (behind bars, I can’t emphasize that somewhat hilarious point enough… again, borderline B actor, in jail, has an f’n iPhone game on the way) states: “The concept for Julius Styles is an amalgamation of the ‘international spy, security specialist characters’ I’ve played in a couple of films… Except unlike previous characters I’ve played, who often have military special ops, spy backgrounds, I needed a twist for him. Thus, Julius Styles was born.”
The game itself doesn't look horrible per say (screenshots, first revealed at Touch Arcade, can be viewed here), it’s just all so… strange. Anyway, it’s supposed to hit the iTunes Store on August 11. … Wait, something’s not right here; you’re telling me Google had to tell everyone that their Google+ app was ready for prime time when the social network was in full swing, but they had to wait for Apple’s seal of approval, and could never give a solid release date, yet somehow Wesley Snipes got one?
