There’s plenty of videos of gamer dorks losing their cool, which thusly results in plenty of cruel mockery, but this one is a tad bit different.

I spotted the following on Reddit (I believe, could have also been on Twitter, I forget) a couple days ago, and thought about posting it, but ultimately passed. But then it got reposted on Kotaku earlier this afternoon, and upon second viewing, plus a little investigation, have decided to present it anyway. So with no no further adieu…

The dude is fat. There’s real no getting around this fact. And please don’t think me posting the clip is just another example of some douchebag blogger that loves to point and laugh, Far from it. Here’s a fun fact: it’s pretty much impossible to offend me (I’d be more than happy to provide a list of things that I believe are open game for making jokes about, but now’s not the time quite yet), but nothing bothers me more than fat jokes. Don’t ask me why, and it’s not because I could stand to lose a few pounds myself.

Here’s a fun-fact: remember at the end of Austin Powers 2 when Fat Bastard states that he’s fat because he’s depressed and depressed that he’s fat. It genuinely got me teary eyed and still does even just thinking about. Ridicule me all you want, but I find fat jokes to be the cheapest, laziest form of humor of them all. That being said…

I decided to see this guy’s other videos. There’s another in which he also addresses the same exact issues, but as you’ll see, it’s a bit different…

So it would seem that the first clip was a shtick. And a rather bold one; no doubt he knew going in that folks would believe that it to be the real him. I’m still not completely clear or what the ultimate goal was… I guess to make fun of those who are acting overly emotional about the issues, and if it was worth in it in the end. But hey, we all have our reasons.

Further investigation reveals a person that is quite open and honest with himself, and trying to come to terms with his weight issue. Which he’s trying to fix, somehow…

Hey, the dude has a girlfriend, and I’m willing to wager that most folks giving this guy crap lack one themselves. Anyhow, best of luck trying to get healthy boogie2988!
