VIDEO: We are now 24 hours away from the iPad’s game of the year
It might not be an exaggeration to state that Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP will more than likely show up on everyone’s end of the year lists, regardless of platform.
Those of us in the know have been drooling over Sword & Sworcery for well over a year now, and couldn’t be happier that the wait is almost over. And it’s nice to know that the word is starting to get around; the game made (not surprisingly) a big splash at this year’s Game Developer’s Conference, where those who don’t necessarily frequent indie game blogs finally came across it.
Unfortunately, it’s headed towards the iPad first, despite the iPhone being the originally intended platform. Well, at least for me, since I’m not an owner of the former; it’s somewhat useless in my eyes, given that I already have the latter, plus even if I wanted Apple’s tablet, I don’t feel like standing in line at the Apple Store for 15 hours for one.
At least I’m not going to be a whiny bitch about it, like many of the commentors in this Touch Arcade report. The bottom-line is, the game is still headed iPhone bound, which I’m still very much looking forward to, but will still be jealous of iPad owners due them being able to enjoy all the gorgeous visuals to a greater degree.
