VIDEO: What do you do when your game is performing less than expected? Hire Snoop Dogg

Matt Hawkins Contributing Writer, Video Games

Rage hasn’t been knocking ‘em dead as expected/been hoping for, mostly due to aforementioned reason. So to entice those who may have been scared away, one strategy is to accentuate the positives, like all the wonders that its wasteland contains. And what better spokesperson is there than a rapper?

Especially one who has shilled for EVERYTHING; Snoop has represented pretty everything from kids’ choice awards to a line of drinks from St. Ides malt liquor, but aimed at kids (non-alcoholic juice drinks… not making this up btw). So now we have Snoop’s guide to surviving the wasteland. Part one covers all the goods that one can accumulate to make life after the asteroid drops a tad bit easier…

Next: every hustlers has to have firepower, and that’s especially true in a post-apocalyptic landscape…

And finally we have a bunch of random shout outs to people. What the point of these might be, I have no clue. Here’s the one for Mike Tyson, who everyone at least recognizes…

… Then you have one for Jermaine Dupree (okay, I’ve heard of him), FPSRussia (no clue who that person is), and a bunch of others.

My favorite response, btw, is courtesy from the comments section of Kotaku: “You know something is wrong when Method Man makes a better video ad starring the Sour Patch Kids.”

Point of reference (especially since it’s video game related)…

So what’s the lesson here btw? Simple: no one’s buying music these days.

What'd you think of this?
