VIDEO: Witness yet another record you didn’t even know existed get crushed
At this point, most world records as it pertains to video games, as in the “get to the finish line the fastest” or “get the highest score” varieties have been firmly established and simply cannot be improved upon. So what’s the next step? Making totally insane new ones up!
What you see above is Jesse Moerkerk from a Dutch Nintendo mag setting the record for the longest gaming session during an indoor free-fall. The time to beat was 15 minutes (I haven’t been able to track down info regarding the record that was broken, nor if there even was one to begin with) and he crushed it with 18 minutes, 52 seconds of Super Mario Galaxy.
Most impressive… I guess? I guess all that Wii-mote shaking and pointing as if you were jumping out of an airplane is tough. What’s next? Fastest time to catch a Squirtle in whatever Pokemon title while suspended upside down, above a shark tank?
