VIDEO: Yet another Ocarina of Time 3D trailer, yet another reason to still want a 3DS

Another clip from the 3DS version of the greatest Zelda game ever was recently released. And it is drool-worthy? You know the answer already, but watch the video anyway.

Confession time: I never actually beat the N64 original! It came out at a time when I was a bit on the busy side… senior year of college. I was also playing two other epic games at the time: the first Metal Gear Solid and Panzer Dragoon Saga. Man, 1998 was a GREAT year to be a gamer! But yeah, due to me actually wanting to get enough done to actually graduate… plus that Water Temple was such a bitch… I had to throw in the towel.

Hence why I’m so eager for this particular revamp/rerelease. Aside from being the best chance to finally finish the adventure, given how I mostly play portable title due to constantly being on a bus or train, like most NYCers, it’s host of improvements look amazing. Aside from the host of graphical embellishments, according to 1UP, it might employ a handholding feature, similar to New Super Mario Bros. Sorry, but my dimwitted brain can’t handle some of the puzzles at times. And if I’m stuck on the A train underground (which is invariable), there’s no way I can call up GameFAQs via my iPhone.

Though the best part is how the trailer’s music touches upon something I mentioned in this previous Zelda post, and that’s how the main field tune in Ocarina is basically the original overworld tune from Zelda 1-3 with just a few chords changed, which at long last has been demonstrated! Today is a grand day for Nintendo fanboys and girls indeed.

Ocarina of Time 3D Looks Pretty Much Definitive [1UP]
