Who wants to party with Ratchet & Clank this very second?
Matt Hawkins Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One isn’t due for another month and one day to be exact, but that doesn’t mean a few lucky weekend visitors of this site have to wait that long. For those interested in taking part of the rather exclusive limited public beta, keep on reading!
First off, for those unfamiliar with the game, it’s latest installment of Ratchet & Clank, but also the first to support multiplayer, something fans have been asking ages for. But not only can you play as either… whatever the heck Ratchet is supposed to be (after all this time, I’m still not sure) or his little robotic sidekick, you can also assume the mantle of that self absorbed super hero that’s a thorn to their sides, or even the bad guy! Quite the cast.
Here’s an older trailer from a few months back, which emphasizes the co-op nature of the gameplay. For those who initially thought the game was just another, stripped down, Mario Party affair, it’s not (thank God)…
But for those also wondering how single player will work… or even if there is one… relax, cuz this new clip will quiet those fears…
To be honest, I still have no idea it works; does one control each character with a single stick, or do you just go back and forth?
