Mike Tyson makes his video game return in ‘WWE 13′

Matt Hawkins Contributing Writer, Video Games

Unquestionably, one of the most infamous boxers of all time, Mike Tyson, will be making his way to a game system near you, later this year. Nope, not in a boxing game, but a wrestling game.

While we all wait for Mike Tyson’s Punch Out 2, one can take hold of Iron Mike in WWE 13, this year’s token update to Vince McMahon’s sports entertainment spectacular in virtual form.

Tyson is being included as a reminder of the WWE’s glory days, during its “Attitude Era”, when he was “an enforcer” for the wrestling stable Degeneration X, and will play that same exact role. Though he will also be a playable character.

Going by the footage above, his punches look far more menacing than they did in the real ring, where he had to hold back quite a bit. Which makes sense, since pro wrestlers don’t actually hit each other (when they can help it).

What'd you think of this?
