The ‘Expendables 2′ video game doesn’t look half bad
The chance to be either Sly or The Old Spice guy in an old-school, top down, blow things up-a-thon? I’m sold.
Sorry, but I’m late to the Expendables 2 party. Hopefully I’ll have enough to time to finally watch part one on Netflix Instant before the sequel hits the big screen next month. But the tie-in game feels a lot like Contra and similar 8/16-bit offerings, so I’m getting that on day one for sure.
The only thing I’m confused about is the cast: you have Sylvester Stallone, Dolph Lundgren, Old Spice Guy, and… I can’t tell from the trailer. But his on-screen portrait/icon likes kind of like George Michael. He’s the movie? Interesting.
By the way, it’s coming digitally, for PC, Xbox Live, and PlayStation Network. That last one might be the version to nab, because it’s part of Sony’s upcoming summer promotions, in which you get cash back on the games you play.
The more you buy, the more you get back. I would highly recommend the combo of The Expendables 2 and Sound Shapes. The latter is a music game that is as far removed from the former as you can get (but it’s still good, trust me).
