It was announced today that for the upcoming Batman movie, The Dark Knight Rises, the part of Catwoman will be played by none other than Anne Hathaway! What do you think about that?! This is quite a coup for the woman who will also be hosting this year’s Oscars.

“I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Anne Hathaway, who will be a fantastic addition to our ensemble as we complete our story,” said director Christopher Nolan in a press release.

“I am delighted to be working with Tom again and excited to watch him bring to life our new interpretation of one of Batman’s most formidable enemies.”

That Tom he is referring to is Tom Hardy who will play Bane, but we don’t care as much about that, do we? The movie isn’t scheduled to come out until July 20, 2012 so you’ll just have to take a look at these 100 hot photos of Miss Hathaway and use your imagination until then to figure out how good she’s going to look in a black catsuit.

I am really thinking hard about starting up some subscriptions to these “women’s” magazines. Every day there’s another hottie half-nude or showing cleavage in these rags. Yesterday we saw Emma Watson looking hot in one and now it’s Anne Hathaway dropping some sweet front meat on us in Elle. Girl’s got some stellar legs on her as well. I am so impressed with how far she’s come since I first saw her in The Princess Diaries (I have a daughter. Shut up.).

Welcome to the 2009 edition of our Sexiest Woman in the World event! As I stated last year, there are many sites and magazines that do this and in most cases they get it wrong (see Lohan, Lindsay; Spears, Britney; and Mills, Heather). Last year you, my awesome readers, voted Kate Beckinsale as the 2008 Sexiest Female on the Planet and I couldn’t have been more pleased with your taste. Let’s try not to blow it this year, okay?

Here’s how it’s going down. I’ve tweaked things a bit this year. Last year we had 64 babes going head-to-head til we got down to the finals. This year we’ll have 100 babes in 10 groups of 10 with the final 10 being divided into two groups of five, then the winners of those two groups will go boob-to-boob to determine our champeen for 2009.
