According to Jack in the Box’s Web site, the 16 oz bacon milkshake packs 773 calories and 40 grams and fat along with 12 sweet sweet grams of protein.

For those interested in how you can attempt this on your own, the restaurant says the shake is flavored with Torani bacon syrup rather than real bacon. Which is good because when you’re going to get a bacon milkshake, you want the most unhealthy route possible.

A spokesperson for the chain says the offer is “as limited as limited can be” so if you want your arteries clogged in the most extravagant and shameful way possible, you better act fast.

While McDonald’s should take a queue from these places, it’s a useless concept in Chicago. At any respectable joint, there is a sizable line starting at 10:30am. My refusal to wait in line for food means that I always get to the restaurant around 10am. To me, that’s just breakfast. I think it’s high time I just start cooking for myself. Unless hamburgers are made by humanely killing an elderly cow by having it euthanized or die of natural causes with its family lovingly by its side and then having nude women pose next to it, I’m seriously contemplating never watching one of these videos again. Like would you be shocked if a tuna is violently raped and dragged through manure before being served to you in a neat little can with a beret-wearing tuna in the front? Not only would I not be shocked, I’d be slightly disappointed. Unless the tuna were drugged at a frat party and raped by a trusted friend. Either way, rape is key to making delicious tuna. Now you know.

I don’t know if I’m horrified or aroused. This is simultaneously what’s awesome about America and completely repulsive. Though I can’t imagine other cultures would see this and applaud our creative, independent spirit. In fact, if the Middle East gets wind of our bacon fad, they’ll probably start having protests with posters reading “DEATH TO BACON” with demonstrations of this guy getting decapitated.

Somewhere though, the Beggin’ Strips dog is just looking on and smiling.
