Everyday, millions of Americans are sent countless spam emails about the subject of making money online. Some of these may be entitled, “MAKE $57,288 By Giving Someone a Phone Number,” “You have won a Nigerian Lottery” and “Turn $47 into $6797.” Believe it or not, the reason that we all continue to get these emails, is because the scammers behind them are actually able to convince people that they are legit. We seem to desperately want to believe that there is a pot of gold hidden somewhere at the very end of the internet.

Of course, there are some legitimate ways in which you can make money on the internet. It can be as simple as starting an internet based company like Facebook and watching the billions of dollars flow into your bank account. But if you prefer a more challenging route to fortune on the internet, you can check out some of these options that I have actually used to make some money. Unfortunately for me, none of these methods have made me rich and if I actually calculated my rate of pay per hour, I would probably have to move to Canada in shame.

Get Paid To (GPT) Sites
Get Paid To (GPT) Sites pay their users to complete product trials, research surveys, watch video commercials, and read paid emails. These offers are often very boring to complete and you are lucky if they approve over 50% of the time. In addition, you also get paid to refer others to the site, which is truly the only way to earn significantly. Some of the more popular GPT sites that I have actually used and received payment from include CashCrate, Treasure Trooper, and Inbox Dollars.

While completing offers from these GPT sites, you should stay away from trials that require a credit card or require you to put in your cell phone number. Although you will probably be able to successfully cancel a trial, you are going to have to jump through some customer service hoops to do so. In addition, completing trial offers and continually cancelling them is a quick way to get yourself kicked out. As for the offers that require your cell phone number, be aware that you probably just signed yourself up for some kind of useless subscription that will take you 3 hours on the phone with Verizon to cancel. In addition, expect the number of spam emails that you receive to increase exponentially. These GPT sites are ideal for people in prison, overnight security guards with nothing else to do, stay at home moms, and other people with a lot of spare internet time.

Paid to Click (PTC) Sites
Paid to Click (PTC) Sites simply pay you to click on ads and watch them from 3 to thirty seconds. You get paid 1/10 of a penny to a penny each time you click on an ad. In a couple of months, when you have clicked on enough ads to make the minimum payment, you get paid. It is a simple as that, but unless you have an absurd amount of free computer time at work, you are not likely to cover the price of the electricity to power your computer.

Survey Sites
Survey Sites pay you to complete research surveys. The one that I can speak for is called Pinecone Research. Basically I get paid $3 for each survey I complete and they send me between 2-5 surveys a month. Once in a while they also send me free products to try which is pretty cool except the time they sent me a new type of feminine product.

Blogging
You write about something you like, try and get tons of traffic, and then monetize it with ads. Pretty simple, right? In reality, over 90% of all blogs that are started are defunct within a year. It turns out it is not as easy to write posts that people will actually value. And even if you are writing some good stuff, it is even harder to get people other than your friends and family to read it. However, if you are able to create a mildly successful blog and slap some ads on it, you can make yourself enough cash to go out to dinner a couple extra times a month.

Homemade Porn Videos
I saved the best technique for last. If there is one thing that’s more prevalent on the internet than making money online techniques, it’s porn. Writing this article forced me to conduct countless hours of research on the internet porn industry. It turns out that there are thousands of sites including XTube that allow you to submit your homemade sex videos and if you get enough views, you can actually make money. To be fair and in the spirit of full disclosure, this is the only technique in which I have yet to make any money.

Blogging about fashion has become so popular in Sweden that a Stockholm department store has announced plans to open up dressing rooms especially designed for web-savvy fashionistas.

Advertising company Ruth and department store Kfem in the Stockholm suburb of Vällingby have together developed the idea of digital dressing rooms where shoppers will be able to have their pictures taken and available to be posted online straight away.

By the end of September, fifteen departments in Kfem should have the new changing rooms installed.

“Our aim is to catch up on different trends. The bloggers have a huge impact in Sweden these days, so it was an obvious thing to push through,” Andreas Petterson, Kfem’s marketing manager, told The Local.

Tiffanie Wong of Brooklyn Heights recently started a blog to tell the world of her husband’s annoying habits.

It’s called, not surprisingly, “My Husband Is Annoying.”
Wong updates her blog every few days to lament on some of her husband’s quirkier antics.

“Obviously, I love the guy – I wouldn’t have married him if I didn’t,” said Wong, 36, a technical director at CNN. “He just has annoying traits.”

For his part, Wong’s husband, WPIX-TV reporter Mark Joyella, sees the humor in his wife’s blog and has no problem with the outside world knowing of his foibles.

“To me, it’s kind of a tribute to all husbands,” said Joyella, 43, who works for the weekend show “Toni On! New York”

In fairness, you can’t really blame Kelly Clarkson for not endorsing violence against anyone. People are probably always trying to tip her over. That’d probably help breed some resentment towards physical hostility.

I’m not particularly unique in this stance, but it’s such a joke that Perez is acting like such a victim here. I’m not saying that everyone who’s ever made a snide comment online deserves to get punched…what many bloggers, including myself, do is an extension of a personality that borders on a character. I don’t think terrible things should happen to everyone, but that’s where some of the humor is derived from. But when you take this “gimmick” of yours, and make no mistake, the Perez Hilton crap is a gimmick, and extend it to real life so much so that you’re yelling the word “faggot” at someone far more successful than you, you need to get punched in the face. That goes beyond comedy and extends into a world of reality. Just because it’s “show business” doesn’t absolve you from real life accountabilty. Especially when it’s coming from a place that’s not even humor…it’s designed to be “shocking” and “controversial.” It’s a joke that crap like this gets so much attention, but hey, if that’s what gets you off, more power to you, I suppose.

So yeah, in summation, f ‘em all. The sissy deserved to get knocked out and Will.I.Am’s manager is kind of a pussy for having to knock out a princess like that in the first place.

Well that’s disconcerting. If I’m considering voting for someone, I’d prefer that they not be predisposed to hating me before even getting to know me. Women already do that.
