Earlier this week, Shanna McLaughlin, Playboy’s Miss July 2010, was arrested after trying to board a plane with a loaded revolver. Unfortunately, McLaughlin is not the only bunny who has been in trouble with the law recently. In the last year alone, five Playmates have been arrested on charges ranging from drug possession to attempted murder.

Here, we take a look at fifteen Playboy models who have had run-ins with the police.

15 Brigitta Bulgari

DOB: 9-29-82
2004 Playmate of the Year in Hungary.
Arrested in 2010 for allegedly letting 15-year old boys grope her while she was on stage doing a performance in Perugia, Italy. She was charged with performing obscene acts in the presence of minors when video surfaced of the lewd incident.

14 Reby Sky

DOB: 8-6-86
2007 Playboy, November 2010 Playboy “Cyber Girl of the Month”.
Arrested in December of 2007 after getting physical with police officers during a traffic stop. She was charged with obstructing or opposing an officer without violence and later released on $500 bond.

13 Tanya Beyer

DOB: 6-4-71
February 1992 Playboy Playmate of the Month.
Arrested in 2010 after spending six months on the run as a fugitive. Charged with doctor shopping and trafficking in Oxycodone and was held on a $100,000 bond.

12 Carmen Electra

DOB: 4-20-72
Playboy cover in 2000, 2003, 2009.
Carmen Electra, aka Tara Patrick, was arrested in 1999 after police were called to a hotel for an incident involving her then spouse, Dennis Rodman. She was charged with battering her husband but the case was dropped at Rodman’s behest.

11 Anna Nicole Smith

DOB: 11-28-67
1993 Playmate of the Year.
Arrested in Houston, Texas in 1989 for a DUI. Smith was charged with a misdemeanor and never served any time in jail.

10 Shanna McLaughlin

DOB: 5-10-1985
Playboy Miss July 2010.
Arrested this past Monday at Orlando International Airport after security found a handgun in her carry-on luggage. She was charged with carrying a concealed weapon and later released after posting bond. Her case is pending.

9 Crystal McCahill

DOB: 11-18-83
Playboy Playmate of the Month for January 2009.
Arrested in January of 2009 when police stopped her after running a red light. Officers smelled intoxicants on her breath and McCahill had a blood-alcohol level that was twice the legal limit in Illinois. She was charged with driving under the influence.

8 Shauna Sand

DOB: 9-2-71
Playboy Playmate of the Month for May 1996.
Arrested earlier this year in May after police noticed injuries to her husband, Laurent Homburger. Sand was charged with spousal battery and criminal threats and was released after posting a $50,000 bond.

7 Kristina and Karissa Shannon

DOB: 10-2-89
Playboy centerfold July/August 2009.
The twins were arrested in January of 2007 after a party at their house got out of hand. They allegedly beat a woman unconscious with a beer bottle and were charged with aggravated battery. Later that year, in November, Karissa was also arrested after kicking Kristina in the face.

6 Kia Drayton

DOB: 4-11-83
Playboy Playmate of the Month for December 2006.
Arrested in April of 2007 after a maid found a kilo of cocaine while cleaning her hotel room. Charged with cocaine trafficking and was held on $2.2 million dollar bail, which she could not afford.

5 Suzanne Stokes

DOB: 7-9-79
Playboy Playmate of the Month for February 2000.
Arrested in June of this year after a routine traffic stop in Hollywood resulted in police finding methamphetamine in her car. Stokes was charged with felony drug possession and posted a $11,000 bail. Her case is still pending trial.

4 Angela Dorian

DOB: 9-26-44
1968 Playmate of the Year.
Angela Dorian, aka Victoria Rathgeb, Victoria Vetri was arrested in October of 2010 after allegedly shooting her boyfriend in a Hollywood apartment. She was charged with attempted murder and bail was set at $1,000,000. Dorian faces up to life in prison if convicted.

3 Tiffany Livingston

DOB: 2-2-89
Playboy Singapore (VIP) centerfold in 2009.
Arrested in September of 2010 after trying to open a JetBlue flight door while it was in the air. It was later revealed that Livingston was trying to settle herself during an anxiety attack. She was taken into custody by the FBI but was later released and no charges were filed.

2 Jennifer Rovero

DOB: 12-12-78
Playboy Playmate of the Month in July 1999.
Arrested with Paris Hilton at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa after being caught smoking marijuana outside the stadium. She pled guilty to a charge of drug possession and paid a $130 fine. Rovero was also deported and is not allowed in South Africa for the foreseeable future.

1 Danielle Gamba and Carrie Minter

DOB: 11-22-82 (Gamba) 8-4-83 (Minter)
Playboy Cyber Girl’s of the Month for October 2004 and February 2005 respectively.
Arrested after being belligerently drunk on a Frontier Airlines flight in December of 2005. The two fought with themselves and with passengers. Upon landing, they were booked on a misdemeanor charge of public intoxication but not before making sexual advances to the arresting officers in an attempt to get out of trouble.

I have no idea what Carmen Electra has to do with making want to buy a phone. I also don’t know what a snake has to do with promoting a phone, but for some reason these two things got together to do just that the other day. It’s good to see Carmen is still getting work. I guess she still has value when it comes to promoting technology with reptiles.

Anybody who is familiar with the exploits of Dennis Rodman knows that there is no story out there that will surprise you. This is a man who once showed up at a Pistons practice with a shotgun and planned to kill a teammate who slept with his girlfriend. And yea, that was 20 years ago.

Since then, he’s had publicized sexual encounters with Madonna, Carmen Electra and according to Rodman himself, over 2000 other women. And now after this mic’d up sexual romp in the Hamptons, we now know that number to be 2,006.

Rodman had quite a lot to drink and had been making shout-outs on the mike. He headed up to his room with six girls. Then, the next thing you could hear through the speakers downstairs was Rodman describing in full sexual detail what he wanted to do to them.

Only six girls? Eh, must have been a slow night for the Worm.

I guess Carmen Electra has pretty much given up on ever making it mainstream since she just launched something called “Carmen Electra’s Sex Toys” in Santa Monica the other day. Carmen Electra was at the Rebecca Taylor Fashion Show in New York the other day and decided that would be a great time to show off her her #’s 1 & 2 assets. Dennis Rodman & Carmen Electra

Even though their drunkenly fueled wedding was invalidated after 10 days, this couple had one of the crazier 6 month flings ever. They were once arrested in Miami for a domestic spat after Rodman allegedly saw one of Electra’s ex’s on tv and commented harshly. This led to WWIII in their hotel room and causing security to show up. Later when Rodman was sleeping, Electra tried to stick an uncooked penne pasta shell up Rodman’s, uh, behind. Yeah, that actually happened. As recently as 2006, Rodman says that Electra called and said she still loved him.

I’d love you too if you fed me pasta, Carmen. As long as it’s in the correct orifice. Or if it’s angel hair.

David Justice & Halle Berry

How bad did it get between these two? Berry told Parade Magazine a few years back that she almost killed herself over Justice. Years after their divorce, Justice tried to seek alimony from Berry even though at the time he was making over 6 million a year.

Not only was he an average player but it seems he was a pretty average husband too.

Andre Rison & Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes

Their on again, off again relationship was highlighted by Lopes burning down Rison’s house in 1994. It didn’t help that Rison had multiple transgressions and Lopes repeatedly had stints in rehab. But that didn’t stop the two dating for almost 10 years.

Rison’s fetish for colorful pirates was never confirmed.

John Daly & Sherrie Daly

Did he hit her or did she hit him? In front of a crowded restaurant in June 2007, they verbally assaulted each other but later on that night is when things really heated up. Daly claimed that Sherrie pulled a steak knife out and tried to stab him. He showed up at a tournament a few days later with cuts and scrapes on his face (Apparently, it wasn’t from poor driving like Mr. Woods wink wink).

Sherrie later pleaded guilty to federal drug charges and served 5 months in jail. Being that this was his 4th wife, we’re going to go out on a limb and say Daly’s fitness to make these kinds of decisions was about as strong as his fitness to do, well, pretty much anything physical not involving the words “pie” and “contest.”

Anna Benson & Kris Benson

Even though this couple is still together, they’re not without their fair share of controversy. Not only has Anna filed for divorced and retracted but she once issued this infamous quote about her husband to Howard Stern:

“I told him [Kris] — because that’s the biggest thing in athletics, they cheat all the time — I told him, cheat on me all you want. If you get caught, I’m going to screw everybody on your entire team — coaches, trainers, players. I would do everybody on his whole team.”

“Mike Piazza just did a back flip,” Stern said. “Even the coaches? What about, like, the bat boys?”

“I’m lining them up,” Anna said, “I’ll (also) circle into other teams. Whatever team he’s playing, I will screw all them, too.”

Don’t know if she ever went through with it, but my application for bat boy is still in the works just in case.

Chuck Finley & Tawny Kitaen

Drug user…check
Suicidal…check
Spousal Abuser…check

And no, I’m not talking about Chuck Finley. His ex-wife Tawny might take the gold medal at the Crazy Beeyotch Olympics. Their relationship was filled with arrests, rehabs, and restraining orders. The couple’s nanny once issued a statement that she was often asked by her two daughters, “”Is Mommy whacked out again today?”

You stay classy Tawny. Though your contributions to 1980s hair bands will never be forgotten nor diminished.

Mike Tyson & Robin Givens

Things were pretty rocky with these two well before they showed up for their 20/20 interview in 1988. Givens had accused Tyson of violence and overall mental instability. But it came to a head on the show when she said that he was manic depressive. Tyson didn’t respond but looked visibly angry. Givens went on to say that being with Tyson was “torture, pure hell, worse than anything I could possibly imagine”. A month later they divorced but not before they got their pot shots in. Givens told everyone she had a miscarriage but Tyson denied she was even pregnant to begin with.

Considering Tyson bit a man’s ear off and told a boxer that he would “eat his children,” I’m going to go ahead and side with Givens here.

Jason Kidd & Joumana Kidd

It might be one thing for a person in a relationship to be an abuser. But both? That makes for a pretty messed up lifestyle. Joumana accused Jason of being a serial abuser and adulterer while Kidd cited extreme cruelty. Either way, Joumana once ended up with a broken rib and damaged hearing when he allegedly smashed her head into the console of their family car. As far as Jason’s list of transgressions is concerned, well, it’s quite impressive according to Joumana.

Welcome to the 2009 edition of our Sexiest Woman in the World event! As I stated last year, there are many sites and magazines that do this and in most cases they get it wrong (see Lohan, Lindsay; Spears, Britney; and Mills, Heather). Last year you, my awesome readers, voted Kate Beckinsale as the 2008 Sexiest Female on the Planet and I couldn’t have been more pleased with your taste. Let’s try not to blow it this year, okay?

Here’s how it’s going down. I’ve tweaked things a bit this year. Last year we had 64 babes going head-to-head til we got down to the finals.
