With 3:14 left in the fourth quarter, the Chicago Bulls looked in total control of Game 5 up 77-65. The Miami Heat had only made 20 field goals thus far in the game and the offense looked stagnant. This one seemed destined for a return trip to South Beach.

Chicago Bulls point guard Derrick Rose has been officially announced as NBA MVP. At 22 years old, Rose is the youngest recipient of the award edging out Wes Unseld who won it in 1969 at 23.
