VIDEO: Dick Vitale gets hit by foul ball

College basketball analyst Dick Vitale was the victim of a line-drive foul ball the other day at the Tampa Bay Rays game. Vitale, who has been a Rays season ticket holder for more than 10 years apparently wasn’t quick enough on his feet to get out of the way and was hit in the ribs.

In Vitale’s defense, he is 71 years old and judging by the speed of that line drive, I’m not sure anyone could have gotten out of the way.

He tweeted after the game that he’s a-ok…just a “little sore”. Although, given Vitale’s propensity to scream outlandishly, I’m sure it was closer to “I’M NO DIAPER DANDY ANYMORE”.
