Did Diora Baird hit the publicity lottery or does she have a movie coming out that I am not aware of? This sexy Maxim photo shoot is the third one she’s had come out in a week. Not that I am complaining. I already said we needed more Diora in our lives but I just find it odd that we don’t see her for months and now, boom, three photo shoots. I guess I could read the ‘words’ attached to all these pics but eh, that’d be almost like work.

Diora Baird is someone who I haven’t featured nearly enough here so I was glad that the people who seem to know everything about hot women, the Italians, were kind enough to grab Diora and take some sexy pictures of her for their version of GQ. Most of the reason I haven’t featured Diora lately is because, well, she hasn’t done much, and that’s a shame because as you can see she is blessed with some tremendous, uh, gifts. Here’s to hoping her and her gifts get more work in 2011.

Now I am not complaining if the producers of the new Star Trek flick feel it’s best for Diora Baird to be in her underwear in the movie, in fact I’d say it was the right call, I just find it so groundbreaking that it is unusual in it’s rare genius. Welcome to the 2009 edition of our Sexiest Woman in the World event! As I stated last year, there are many sites and magazines that do this and in most cases they get it wrong (see Lohan, Lindsay; Spears, Britney; and Mills, Heather). Last year you, my awesome readers, voted Kate Beckinsale as the 2008 Sexiest Female on the Planet and I couldn’t have been more pleased with your taste. Let’s try not to blow it this year, okay?

Here’s how it’s going down. I’ve tweaked things a bit this year. Last year we had 64 babes going head-to-head til we got down to the finals. This year we’ll have 100 babes in 10 groups of 10 with the final 10 being divided into two groups of five, then the winners of those two groups will go boob-to-boob to determine our champeen for 2009.
