They make some good points. Since monkeys don’t evolve in front of us like feces-throwing Transformers, that must mean that evolution is stupid. Plus I can’t even peel a banana with my toes OR pick fleas off of strangers without it being a social faux pas. Not very monkeylike, is it? So you can take all your “facts” and “science” and “proven hypotheses” and “logic” and shove them up your not-hairless-like-a-chimp ass, professor. TO FAITH! *drinks blood of a deity*

The research, conducted at the University of Osaka, was part of something called the “Evolved Mouse Project,” with a goal of simulating evolution through genetic engineering. Or recreating the childhood classic movie “An American Tail”. Perhaps both.

“Mutations are the driving force of evolution. We have cross-bred the genetically modified mice for generations to see what would happen,” lead researcher Arikuni Uchimura told AFP.

“We checked the newly born mice one by one… One day we found a mouse that was singing like a bird,” he said, noting that the “singing mouse” was born by chance but that the trait will be passed on to future generations.

“I was surprised because I had been expecting mice that are different in physical shape,” he said by telephone, adding that in fact the project had also produced “a mouse with short limbs and a tail like a dachshund”.

Well, if movies have taught me anything, these scientists’ successful attempts at playing God will quickly spiral out of control, unleashing a horde of man-sized flesh-eating mice who gleefully sing as they eat your intestines. And there’s probably one scientist who heard this first little mouse sing and thought, “We’ve gone too far.” But no one listened. WHY DIDN’T THEY LISTEN??!?! OH THE HUMANITY.

While most cats are known for their ability to land on their feet, some in China may soon be able to glide to safety on their mysterious wings.

A tabby from the Qingyan province in China recently sprouted a pair of fur-covered wings on his back during a hot-weather spell, the U.K.’s Daily Mail reported.

Immediately, the unique kitty became a spectacle to behold, as visitors flocked to see the unusual feline.

One cat owner, identified only as Feng, claimed her pet’s wings were the result of stress from too many females desiring to mate with him, the Mail reported.

Oh man, me and you cat…we’re not so different. Hi5!!

“At first they were just two bumps,” she told the Mail. “But they started to grow quickly and after a month there were two wings.”

But the owner later grew fearful that the tabby would either be stolen by envious admirers or that it would fly away and decided to cut one of the two flappers off, World Entertainment News Network said.

I’d fly away if I were that cat too and everyone was always trying to turn me into sesame chicken. That’s kind of sad though that cutting off a wing is their reaction…”Hey, you’re evolving eh? Well, let ol’ Dr. Rusty Blade take care of that!”

Reports that the kitty drank a case of Red Bull are as yet unconfirmed.
